In the mid-2000’s the French media and entertainment conglomerate Vivendi decided to enter the rapidly growing market for games on mobile phones via its Vivendi Games unit. It thus hired one of the PerfectPitch senior experts as the President of a newly formed Vivendi Games Mobile, based in Paris and Los Angeles.
The unit grew from two employees in 2006 to 315 over the course of two years; acquired production studios in California and Romania; rapidly entered the ranks of the top five mobile games publishers worldwide, and in 2008 published the most successful 3D game on the emerging iPhone platform before being integrated into the company’s ActivisionBlizzard operating company.
